June Hornby trained to Associate level in Ballet, Modern Dance, Tap Dance, National, Greek, Highland and Scottish Country Dancing with Pamela de Waal in Devon. She has danced in professional pantomimes, summer shows and performed in cabaret. She has taken principal roles, choreographed and been Dancing Mistress for Weymouth Operatic Society. She is very much involved in teaching all subjects at the Weymouth Dance Studio, she keenly follows the careers of her pupils as they progress and often go on to succeed in many aspects of the arts and entertainment industry.

Due to the success and reputation of the school, born out by examination results over the years, it is able to offer dance classes and private coaching at all levels. An on going programme of attendance for all members of the teaching team, ensures that the latest techniques and syllabi are taught and standards maintained.

At Weymouth Dance Studio, pupils may also learn singing, speech and voice production in the theatre groups: Spotlight Theatre Group, which is available for children from five years old and Footlights Theatre Group which caters for eight to eighteen year olds.
